1. THE WORD OF GOD

- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative word of God. It is the all -sufficient rule for faith and practice. The 66 books are all inspired by God. They are inerrant and infallible in their original writings, and they are the supreme and final authority for faith and practice.

2. ONENESS OF GOD

- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

- The Father is eternal, omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent. He is absolutely holy, righteous and just.

- We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

- We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person.

3. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ,

- In His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His blood shed on the cross, in His bodily resurrection,


In His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

4. The Father is eternal, omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent

- He is absolutely holy, righteous and just. His love and mercy were manifested in the atoning death of His only begotten son Jesus Christ on Calvary. (Mathew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6)


5. The Fallenness Of Man

- We believe that man was originally created in the image of God, but the whole race of man was separated from God in the sin of Adam and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death.


- We believe that no man can reconcile himself with God and thereby gain entrance to His Kingdom unless He is born again by the Holy Spirit.


6. Salvation

- We believe that salvation is the gift of God by grace alone and reserved through repentance and personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

- Salvation is received through repentance towards God, confession by mouth, and faith towards the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s Son.

7. Heaven And Hell

- We believe that heaven is the hope and the eternal home of the saved and that hell is a literal place of eternal separation from God for those who are unsaved.

8. The church

- We believe that the body of Christ is composed of all born again believers everywhere without respect to race, color, or denomination. We believe that the local church comprises of born-again believers who come together for worship, fellowship, discipleship and evangelism.

9. Core Doctrinal Principles

- We believe that the core doctrinal Principles of the Church consist of;

- The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17), Deuteronomy 5:7-21) and the following Seven Fundamental doctrines described in Acts 2:38-42.

- Repentance

- Baptism by immersion

- Receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit

- Listening to the word of God

- Fellowship with believers

- Breaking of bread

- Prayer

10. Prayer

- We believe we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives and to the ministry of evangelism.

11. Marriage and divorce

- We believe the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union as described in scripture. (Genesis 2:18-25) Malachi 2)

- We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (1 Corinthians 6:18,7:2-5, Hebrews 13:4)

- No sexual activity should be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

- We believe that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) Divorce is contrary to the principles of marriage and its original institution by God and was allowed for the hardness of hearts. (Deuteronomy 24:1, Mathew 19:3-9)

- The members should refrain from divorce except due to such situations as described in Mathew 19:9

- Pastors of Brook of Hope shall not conduct same sex weddings for members and non- members but will conduct weddings for one man and one woman as biologically designed by birth.

12. Child birth and abortion

- We believe Human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellow men.

13. Work

- We believe that work is sacred and must be done with all the heart as working for the Lord, not human masters.
